Good afternoon! So work ended up going later than planned yesterday and by the time I worked out after, it was 9pm and Darin and I had a movie to watch. I didn’t make it around to doing my Friday link love post! I guess Saturday link love will work right?!
My goal this next week is to join a running group. I’ve said it for several months and now that I have signed up for a half marathon this fall, I have to commit to it! I can usually do 4-6 miles on my own but after that I need group motivation or at least one friend with me.
Yesterday’s morning run was a hot and humid one. I wanted to get in a 4 mile run before work and took my new running shoes out for a spin. They were great as always and I finished the run with a 8:45/mile pace.
Talk about sweaty and red faced! There’s barely a light grey spot left on my shirt.

For those of you out there that are thinking I’m weird for choosing a dessert with a green topping, no these are not health brownies with spinach puree for icing. These are Fudgy Avocado Brownies from Jessica at How Sweet It Is. I’ve had avocado in a smoothie before and it makes the consistency so creamy and delicious. I must make these brownies asap.
